Job Summary

Take your nursing career to new heights in the Air Guard. As a Flight Nurse in the Air Guard, you’ll adapt the skills and knowledge you’ve gained in your civilian career to the battlefield environment, specifically aiding in the transportation of critically sick or wounded service members. You will be responsible for planning and providing comprehensive nursing care for all types of patients during air medical evacuations and airlift flights and coordinate with and make recommendations to staff agencies concerning air medical evacuation plans. You’ll also brief medical personnel at the receiving medical facility on continuing nursing care and requirements.
